Round Blade and Sickle Blade for Slicing Machine
When packing food, it is important to ensure that the same weight is always packed per unit – but never less than stated. Cheese, meat or sausage products must therefore be measured in order to calculate their exact volume.
The slicing machine is a sophisticated machine for slicing blocks of cheese, sausage products, ham, meat, fish and other suitable foods into slices and portions of various forms.
The product is placed on a product conveyor with product holder (carriage) and fed to a round or sickle blade rotating at a speed depending on the product and output (max. 2400 RPM).

Gravity and the knife sharpening angle allow the individually cut slices to be cut/released in a controlled manner at a specific position on the portioning conveyor. The portioning conveyor and stacker are standard equipment, especially for automatic operation. Automatic machines can not only stack the sliced product, but often also place it in a fan shape or fan it round to present it attractively.
The rotating blade is dangerous. Therefore, a blade guard on the machine and compliance with gap dimensions are mandatory. Thumb and finger protection must be provided on the carriage. A rest holder must be provided for small pieces to prevent fingers from coming into contact with the knife. Special measures must be taken when cleaning and sharpening the blade to prevent cuts.
